RG Construction Services self performs all facets of low voltage electrical construction for our own projects as well as other general contractors.  Our projects range from new construction, renovations and upgrades to maintenance of electrical systems.  Scopes of work include power, lighting (interior, exterior, site and emergency), duct banks, electrical gear replacements, fire alarm and telecommunications.

TA-51 Warehouse Complex

RG Construction was the electrical subcontractor under Hensel Phelps that was tasked to install the site utilities which included lightning protection during phase 1 of the project and then received an additional subcontract for the installation for all the electrical systems for 4 SPRUNG buildings that were installed at the prepared site.  The electrical systems included interior/exterior lighting fire alarm, wiring for cubicle spaces and communications for conference room spaces.  This project was challenging because all systems were required to be suspended in the air as there were only beams that supported the interior structure. The project was originally to be completed in approximately 2 years but due to the need of the buildings the project schedule was accelerated to be substantially completed in 12 months.

CHAMP Program Various Projects Managed by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

RG Construction has teamed up with Burns and McDonnell to complete various mechanical upgrade projects for buildings both at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Sandia National Labs.  RG’s scope of work for these projects was to provide the electrical demolition and replacement of the electrical systems to support the mechanical upgrades that varied from HVAC units to chiller replacements. These projects are contracted through DOE site located at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.  Below are a few of the projects that were performed under this program.

• Building 6858 Chiller Replacement at Sandia National Labs – Scope included demo and installation of 2 chillers along with associated piping, electrical modifications and controls.

• TA-60-0001 Work Bays HVAC Replacement – Scope of work included electrical and BAS controls to support the HVAC upgrades.

• TA-53-0004 Central Control Room and Office AHU Installation – Scope of work included electrical and BAS controls to support the HVAC upgrades.
